I am running WindowsNT 4 SP4 clients on a Novell 4.11 network.

As a user with administrator rights, I have installed and configured the
client workstations with the LANDesk virus protection software.

The software works fine when I am logged onto the system, but when a user
logs in, the software fails to start.

Is there a resolution to this problem other than making all users
administrators of their work stations?

Thanks in advance!

You possibly installed the software as a user account instead of a system
account.
Go to control panel | Services | choose the LANDesk Virus Protect Service
and select startup. In the box call Log On As: choose System account.

If this does not fix your problem run CHKDSK on your workstation. Try
rebuilding the user account because the rights are messed up.
