Hello
Under the VP5 directory do you have a BADPATTS directory. This directory is a
indication of a corrupt pattern file. Delete the directory and the pattern file
from the VP5 directory and download a new pattern file.

Where are you downloading from?

The pattern file you downloaded is for Version 5.02. You need to download
NAVUP.EXE
for 3.05. Check what you are downloading.
I went to Intel's FTP site, downloaded & extracted the NAVUP.exe file found
there, then manually copied the vdb file to the LANDesk/vp5 folder. The scan
engine will still not recognize the updated virus pattern file.

Hello
What is the size of the pattern file vdb? Have you rebooted the computer?

If you have upgraded from a older version this could be a bad upgrade. Remove virus
protect and reinstall. The 5.03 files is a full install.
