Norton AntiVirus integration

It is my understanding that Norton took over the virus protection and that
LanDesk can some how integrate with Norton AntiVirus. Is this true and if so,
how is it integrated? We are about to implement Norton AntiVirus and if LanDesk can help
with this, then I would like to use it.

We just recently updated our virus protection to Nortan Antivirus CE from the current LANDesk Virus Protect. In order to make sure there were no conflicts, we uninstalled the LANDesk VP using the vpremove.exe from the command line and then followed w/ the Nortan Antivirus install. The Nortan and LANDesk are almost the same program, however, Nortan has some new features and a more extensive & complete virus definition set.

Check out Metascan. It is an API that supports integration of several Norton antivirus packages. If you plan on integrating with Norton AV to perform virus scanning and content checking, maybe you should check it out.
