I am trying to create multiple VLANs on my network (ID 2, 3, 4) using
a Layer 2 managed switch and an Intel Pro 1000GT network adapter. I
have created 3 VLANs (2, 3, 4) on the server with the Intel NIC and
given the connections static IP addresses (10.10.4.2, 10.10.4.3,
10.10.4.4).

The server is connected to a port which is Tagged (on all 3 VLANs).
My test PC is connected to a port which it Untagged on VLAN 2 and has
a PVID of 2.

I have then tried to ping the 3 IP addresses on the server - here's
the problem:

I can ping all 3 IP addresses (eventhough my PC is on VLAN 2 and the
server only has one connection on VLAN 2 - 10.10.4.2). If I change my
PC to be on VLAN 3, then I can't ping any connection on the server.

It is as if all 3 VLANs on the server are binding to the same VLAN on
the switch. Am I doing something wrong with the switch configuration,
or is there a problem with the way the NIC is handling the VLANs?
