HELP! Intel Proset wireless takes forever to start up

I've had my laptop for a while now, but recently every time i start up
my computer the intel proset wireless takes about 3 mins to load. this
stops all my other programs from functioning.

when i hover over the tray icon it says "ifrmewrk" or intel ifrmewrk
task tray or something.

before it took 2 seconds to load. now it takes 3 full mins AFTER the
rest of my computer has started up. this is really annoying and im
considering reformatting. but i would like some opinions before i do
so.

whether i enable or disable my radio thru proset, it starts up real
slow.
