I have been trying to connect two PCs together as a workgroup. Both have these cards but only one has a proble.
The Windows 98 PC works fine and the hub recognises the fact that it is there. Unfortunately the W95 PC connect by exactly the same cable is not seen by the hub.

I have swapped the cables over and tried differnt ports on the hub to no avail.

I have used the Intel utility to test the card with NDIS loaded it gets nothing back but with NDIS unloaded it tells me the card is working properly.

The card has worked okay in the past so I am convinced it is something software driven but I seem to have reinstalled NDIS drivers (taken from the Intel Web Site) on numerous occasions

I am not a network guru but have a reasonable grasp on setting thjs sort of stuff up.

Any tips would be gratefully appreciated.

many thanks

Many thanks for your help but unfortunately I am no further.

I have so far done everything I can think of including - even removing the card and drivers and starting again from scratch with drivers taken from the Intel site.

The hub does not light up when the cable is inserted in the port as it does with the other machine - the light is on the card and all tests indicate that the card is working properly apart from the NDIS test which does not get any packets back.

I have tried different cables and ports all to no avail. I have also removed dial up networking to make sure that the bindings are correct. Any more advice please ?

Thanks again

Frank
