Mainboard Epox EP68LXR
P2 300
128 MB PC100
USR Modem
S3 Video

I have narowed the problem down to either CPU or Mainboard as all other
components have been removed or replaced. The machine boots into windows ME
( tried 98 as well) and shuts down after a few minutes. I have tries blowing
a large fan on system to eliminate a heat issue and am at a loss. Ay one who
has any ideas or has had a similar problem please respond

Thanks

Yes, ive had similar probs

Tyan Trinity 400
P3 600EB
196MB PC133
NIC
Voodoo2 SLi
GeForce 256

ive tried swapping everything in my computer except the motherboard, but i hear
that many people with a similar problem (the computer resets like someone pushed
the reset button) blame it on ram!
i dont know what to do! i was guessing it was heat but now im just lost.

I had this problem some time ago too, where my machine would just reset
itself. I was told that it could be the main power plugs (where the PSU
plugs into the mainboard). The person that told me this said they had to get
the board replaced. I have not had the problem since (and I have not
replaced my mainboard). So it could well be something else.
Try getting your mainboard looked at or replaced :)

Cheers
Paul
