Is the Distributed DMA function failed on 82443LX & 82371AB chipset?

When I did active the DDMA function in ISA bridge (90-93h) and access I/O address 0Ah that would cause system hanged. It seems that
failed on the infinte PCI retry cycle. But the same action applied to 82430TX chipset is all right. Would you give me a response that DDMA function is failed on LX chipset or not. Thanks a lot!
