If you can help, please respond to this message or email me at "jli...@san.rr.com"
TIA, J.
Please boot the machine and report the BIOS version number that
appears. This should be relatively simple to figure out. Awaiting your
response.

Dear Paul:
This board lists as a Pemiere PCI II (Plato) board. If you get no beeps
then pull the memory boards, if you get beeps then memory is the issue.
If you still get no beeps then try a bios recovery on the board :
ftp://ftp.intel.com/pub/bios/ latest bios 1.00.16.AX1
http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/genbios.htm bios recovery
procedure
To set the board into the recovery mode yoy power down and move jumper
J6J2 tfrom 2-3 to 1-2.
If these options do not work then the board is bad or the processor is
bad.

Mark

Dear Edwin:
This could be a processor but it could also be a corrupted bios which
can be fixed with a bios recovery, which costs nothing to try. On this
board a Premiere/PCI II the recovery jumper is J6J2 moving pins 2-3 to
1-2. You can also pull the memory and see if you now get the beep
codes, that would indicate a bad memory module. The purpose is to be as
sure as possible before he buys another processor.
When I start my system it tells that the BIOS has
1.00.04.CB0 as identification and I get errors like:
>> System Board Device Resource Conflict
>> Static Board device resource conflict
Questions:
1. Do I have an AS Board? If no, what board do I have?
2. Can I use the Bios Update 1.00.07.CL0?
3. If I install the update, will my problems be solved?
Jan Eijlers.
Dear Jan:
The bios identifier CLO is for the Advanced/AS board. As long as there
is no extra character after CL0 you can use the 1.00.07.CL0 version off
our web site:http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/as/as_bios.htm
Your problem may be corrected, if you are using the PRO Audio sound
card then you need to read this
URL:http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/genmbfaq.htm#9C
Please have a look around this newsgroup, and you will find a number of people, (including myself) who asked for their motherboard to be identified. My name is Jarrod House. Follow the steps I had to in terms of acquiring the correct information about the BIOS. Then, go to the BIOS's manufacturer's home page and find it there, if you can. If you cannot (I couldn't), maybe you will be lucky enough to have the great Edwin grace your presence with his vast knowledge. but first you need the necessary information about your BIOS. Get if off of your start-up screen (at the bottom).
Good luck and good hunting
Jarrod
Dear Mark:
The board you have is the Advanced/ZE. The Faxback number is
1-800-525-3019 and the following document numbers list for this board;
Doc# 4554
Doc# 4553
Doc# 4552
Doc# 4551
It is an ATX style motherboard. Here are a few of the numbers on the
board.
AA 65375-309
E139761
MO3713847
MBDPCI023ABWW
Your help is greatly appreciated.
The board has 256k cache expandable to 512 (I beleive) with 2 168pin SDRAM
slots. 4 PCI and 3 ISA
Thanks in advance to anyone who can spread some light on this subject.

Dear Craig:
This board does not list in our data base, it would appear to not be an
Intel motheboard. The other ways to identify the Intel motheboard is
from the version of the bios and a AA number on a sticker on the
motherboard itself.
Please note the AA number in my last message.
The label is on the motherboard at the back near the lpt and serial
connectors about 3 inches to the left.
Again the number is AA 653765-309.
Also what would I look for on the bios to tell me it is an Intel
motherboard?
All of the major chips are Intel of course and what I beleive to be
the bios chip is a SMC (American Mega Trends), although I am not sure.
Again thanks in advance.
Sincerly

Dear Craig:
The board lists as a TE430VX motherboard which is made by Intel but for
OEMs only. I believe your bios identifier is CY1T. What this means is
that all bios upgrades and support has to come form that OEM that
marketed the board. However, it is a board that Intel manufactured.
