HI,

I have just build a system with the new intel motherboard D845HV and a
pentium 4 1.5GHz. The 256Mb SDRAM comes from kingston ref.:
KVR133X72RC3/256. AS soon as I switch on the power, the motherboard
emits 3 beeps ( which I think means a memory problem ?), and that's it
with the screen remaining black. I swap the SDRAM module with a new one,
but there is no improvements.

Can anyone help me ?
Thanks...

This is a link for the intel specification for your motherboard, (download
the pdf file, if you own the motherboard, you should have this spec.) page
126 has the beep codes, read it.

Not very nice of me to not give the link, well here it is:

http://support.intel.com/design/motherbd/hv/hv_prdoc.htm

it's a great read, couldn't put it down, lot's of plot twists.

Some of those motherboards didn't have a BIOS that would recognize all the
P4 chips. You may need to flash to the latest BIOS, use the BIOS recovery
feature explained on the website.

I just had the same problem. Did you use a Pentium 4 compatible power
supply and hook up BOTH power feeds to the motherboard.
