After 2 months of listening to the overtemp "beeping" noise that the health monitor produced and raising up the threshold, I got a new case (aluminum) and a 500 watt powersupply. Not only did it cure the overtemp problem, but, incredible as it seems, game play with the GeForce 3-200 improved. For example, MOH and RedFaction are clearly no longer choppy like they once were. AFAIK we reseated all the adapter boards (scsi, enet, audigy) back in the same slot they were before the case swap so the difference should be only the larger power supply. The latest BIOS (A08) and Xp drivers were already installed so the OS should have been exactly the same. I would not have thought the power supply would have made that much of a difference!

Earlier I had added a bunch of exhaust fans which seemed to help but it got too noisy. Still didnt cool good as there were too many wire bunched too close even with those round cables. This was a better solution.
