l440gx latest BIOS upgrade??

Hi there everyone,

I have a l440gx.086 board, and have been having problems with XP -- it
keeps hanging and resetting on its own. The solution for this
suggested by MS is that I install the latest BIOS, but I have done
this (Phoenix BIOS 4.0 rel. 6.0 build 133) successfully but still am
encountering this problem.

Is this absolutely the latest version that I can use? Has anyone
actually used another version? I have limited experience with BIOS
flashes and am loath to try flashing if it means that I may have to
replace the chip entirely.

Has anyone tried the 6.1 release, for instance, with this same board?

Does anyone have a good solution?
