Help with this one please: I can not get my Motherboard, TE430VX AA666761-250, Bios 1.00.07.DQ0T, to count the right amount of memory!

I,m using a 233MMX and 64MB "(8x64) DIMM SDRAM W/EEPROM(8chips)" in Bank #0 and it only shows 16MB, I have tried to put 2 DIMMS of 64MB of the same memory as above and it only shows 32MB!

Whats going on?

Thank you - Gino Russo

Well some boards if they have both simms and dimms you have to change the jumper to tell the bios that you are installing the dimms or simms. That would be the best thing to check for.

Hi,
1) not sure if your board supports that amount of SDRAM
2) if you have bios version 1.00.07.DQ0t you do NOT have a TE430VX but
a 'Mailman' motherboard only made for Gateway. The TE430VX has bios ID
1.00.xx.CY1T when coming from Gateway
