I purchased a retail PII 333 and the motherboard does not have a place to supply power to the fan. I need to find a connector that will plug into the powersupply connectors. Anyone know a company that sells that?

Thanks

If the fan uses a 3-pin connector, then it requires a 12V DC power
source. Look at the installation instructions for the connector name
of the fan connectors and the motherboard layout schematic for their
locations.

There is no known substitute or adapter for this power source. Hard
drives, floppy drives, cdrom's, etc., use 5V.

J Emberton,

The 3-pin connector includes +12V for the fan and the third wire is for the computer to monitor the fan speed.

If your motherboard doesn't have this connector available (big surprise!) then you can get an adapter cable going from the power connectors to the fan - these are often found with multi-fan coolers for CPUs.

Note that when using the adapter the system is only supplying power to the fan, you won't be able to monitor the fan speed.

You're local computer shops may have the adapter and you can try http://www.computernerd.com they have a lot of stuff for cooling CPUs and the like. I did not check to see if they have the specific adapter.

Best regards,
