i'm trying to install a geforce2 mx to my brother's dell dimension
L700CX with the infamous intel 810 motherboard... I cannot seem to get
this videocard setup. I first took go to bios, and set the video to
PCI....this doesn't work so i instead decide to try doing it thru
win98... I first try putting taking off "exist in all hardware
profiles" restart the computer and now the geforce2mx get detected but
the videocard used by the pc is still the 810 agp. The geforce to has
the exclamation on it saying it works fine but cannot be used cuz it's
sharing the memory with the integrated 810. I then decide to change
the 810 to standard vga adaptor, restart the computer and the only the
computer freezes. I restart and see only the standard vga adaptor
available... the geforce2mx is never to be seen again till i take out
the geforce2 card and put it back in manually. Is there any way to
disable the onboard video? any help is appreciated.
