I have genuine Intel 815EEA2-L MB. (The L simply means integrated
LAN, also).
Questions:
1) Apparently this MB has DVO capability, but did not come with the
plug in cable & mounting bracket for DVO features. Where do I get
cable/bracket?
2) Should I update the VBIOS? I see Intel is up to version 6.7. I
have no idea what version vbios is presently running. If I should
update, do I use the AIM version? Should I run the upgrade program
under DOS?
3) Does the vbios update when the system Bios was updated? I have the
latest system bios version P18, May 2002.
4) I plan to buy a LCD flat-panel monitor. Should I bother with all
these DVO features, or simply forget about DVO and stick with the
analog connection? If DVO, then I presume I leave the analog
connector empty on my MB, and only plug the flat-panel monitor into
the DVO connection?
Advice/Asnwers on these topics is most appreciated. VBIOS and DVO are
2 topics that I do not have any experience with. Thanks.
