Hi,

Bought an Intel Create and Share Webcam earlier today, and for some reason
from anywhere between 1 minute to 5 minutes usage, all USB functions, mouse
and camera just freeze, required a hard reboot to regain normal mouse
functionality.

I've tried all the patches and software updates I could find, but still the
USB "outages" continue.

Thanks in advance,

Well, from what little you described I would guess you are haveing a
resource conflict. Check device manager and see if there is somthing
else on the IRQ of the USB port.

My first thought, but the USB Controller isn't sharing any resources
whatsoever.

My second thought would be to check to see if there are any driver
updates for your chipsets on your motherboard. I know VIA has updated
drivers for theirs. Other then that my next step... This is ME talking
now. I would wipe out the W2K directory and do a clean install just to
see if that fixes it. I know that sounds rather harsh but I would want
to know. I can tell you this. My CS430 works great on my W2K box with
a new install on it. I also have a CS430 on the Wifes computer and it
also works great and i did an upgrade from 98 on that one.

Good luck.

Gareth,
I am having the same problem as you..... Have been working with Intel
Customer Support.... They have had me try several things to no avail.
The last thing they told me was to upgrade my bios. Am in the process
of trying to do that..... Will let you know I (we) come up with a
fix....
Jim
