October 18, 2017 - Integrity NOLA Meeting

St. Anna’s Episcopal Church

Minutes

 

Attendance:  Present:          Luigi Mandile,Michelle Robert, Peg Culligan,

Ed Collins, V.P. Franklin, Dee& Martha Fleming,

Stewart and Ron

Business: 

 

• Convention
• Nov. 3-4, 2017 at St. James/Baton Rouge
• Still need someone to man the booth Fri/Sat
• Luigi will call to reserve a table/booth

 

• Retreat
• Passed out handout regarding NOLA Retreat for the LGBT community
• Much more participation needed to commit to the numbers provided.

 

• Elections
• Luigi announced that he would no longer be able to continue as our Convener in 2018
• Michelle announced she also would like someone to take over her position as Secretary in 2018
• Ed suggested 2-year terms

 

• Break Away Proposal
• Proposal discussed further
• Possible names suggested included:
• LGBT Episcopalians
• LGBT Episcopalians & Allies (or, & Family)
• Discussed need for website, new email group, new Facebook page, etc.
• Luigi will attempt to speak with Bishop about breaking away (when at St. Anna’s this weekend)

 

 

Next meeting:  TO BE ANNOUNCED

 

The plan is to meet up with Baton Rouge group and have meeting in Baton Rouge area – most likely early December, so stay tuned.
