Hello IDHCC members, I hope all are well. Happy Juneteenth and Belated Father’s Day to all the dads out there in the ID we appreciate you. Summer is here and its hot. City pools are open attached is the link for free pool passes, World Refugee Day and many cool summer events. This month we will be discussing these initiatives:

Craft Sale for International Refugee Day

June 20-June 22, 2022, from 10 am. to 7.00 pm. or while crafts last.
In celebration of the resilience of immigrants, refugees and at-risk families in the International District, New Mexico Women's Global Pathways will host a craft sale of products created by women and girls served at the Ubuntu Village for All.

Whittier Food Hub Friday June 24, 2022 and Covid Boosters for all. Free pantry open 12pm-6pm and Covid Vaccine Clinic open 2pm-6pm. All Free and open for all who live in the International District. CiQlovia: It's that time of the year again! CiQlovía is about 3 months away and we would love to start coordinating some on-the-ground tabling for activities during event day.

If you would like to host a recharge or activity station or virtual stop along one of this year’s CiQlovía routes, (TBD- if you have a route in mind let us know!), fill out the free application below! Routes are in the International District, South Valley, Downtown, and North Valley. Street closures will only take place in the International District so plan accordingly.

Please submit this application by September 16, 2022. Applications submitted after September 16 will be considered on a case by case basis. You might consider the following tips in submitting an activity.

1. Please make sure that community engagement activities include appropriate social distancing with a focus on physical activity and community wellbeing. Face coverings are highly encouraged to be worn by all staff/volunteers.

2. CiQlovía is a free event open to the public; recharge or activity stations will be provided with a free CiQlovía engagement kit. Kits will contain informational brochures, signs, maps, water, and hand sanitizers.

3. Due to Fire Code, no tents allowed. However, (10x10) canopies without side flaps will be allowed, up to two per recharge station. Use and placement of canopies will be limited to first come, first serve basis for a max of 10 total in the International District. Questions?
