We will have our next meeting and spending a large portion of the meeting on one or more pedestrian events in the community.
We will also have some presentations.
We meet at La Mesa Elementary, and as always, it is a potluck.
2 – Supporting Technology Leadership High School
We would like to extend an invitation to you to participate as a judge at our upcoming student exhibitions on February 14,15, or 16th at Technology Leadership HS.
During the exhibitions students will present their second trimester projects. Judges can participate for the entire hour and a half or 30 minutes or more based on their availability.

3 – La Mesa Community School Council, Thursday February 2, 2:30PM
Good Morning IDHCC,
Thank you for sharing time with me last Thursday, to talk about the opportunity to become more engaged with our Community School work at La Mesa Elementary.
As mentioned at the meeting we at the school will be forming a Community School Council, which will consist of School Staff, Community Partners and Families. This first meeting will focus on Family Engagement, we will look at existing opportunities, numbers
and strategies for increasing family and community engagement in school and community based activities.
The Community School Council will focus on implementing the community school framework i.e. the coordination and alignment of out of school time programs, recruiting volunteers, extending health and support services to our families, and identifying other
community and family engagement opportunities.
These meetings will be held once or twice monthly on Thursdays from 2:30pm - 3:30pm.
If you are interested in joining the Community School Council, simply meet us in the La Mesa School cafeteria this coming Thursday, February 2nd at 2:30. Also if you have ideas of others you think might benefit or enjoying being part of the Council
please let me know and I would be happy to contact people.
Participation in the Community School Council is flexible, we would love to have consistent participation, but we know that things come up, please come when you can. Thank you.
