Urgent reminder that the City of Albuquerque meeting is tonight at 5pm at Cesar Chavez Community Center concerning the San Mateo Kathryn lot. Please show up and give your input on community needs. We have been surveyed already on how the city should proceed on development of this property. Those findings were as follows: No fenced youth community spaces, Community Gardens, Soccer field, outdoor market space and safe crossing for our Whittier Elementary families. Job Corps is reopening, for more information contact: The Albuquerque Job Corps campus has the capacity to serve 327 students aged 16-24 in areas such as electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, office administration and advanced solar. In addition, the campus works directly with local and national employers to help them fill in-demand and well-paying positions.
