We are at School of Food Science and Nutrition (SSMP), Universiti
Malaysia Sabah proudly to announce that we are organizing the
International Conference on Food Science and Nutrition 2012.
This conference were jointly organized with Malaysia Institute of Food
Technology (MIFT) and International Union of Food Science and
Technology (IUFoST). An international conference on Food Science and
Nutrition will be for the very first time in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah,
Malaysia, The Land Below the Wind, is a land of diverse ethnic groups
and cultures on 2 - 4 April 2012.
The theme of this conference is "Traditional Resources: Scientific
Approaches Towards Quality Foods" which categories into four main
themes, as such;
1. Natural Products and Innovative Food Processing
- Functional Ingredients
- Food Fermentation
- Emerging Food Processing Techniques
2. Food Safety and Quality
- Food Safety Regulations and Standards
- Halal Food Production
- Foodborne Hazards
3. Nutrition and Food Security
- Malnutrition
- Food Security
- Diet and Cognition
4. Food Anthropology and Gastronomy
- Food Marketing
- Food Gastronomy
- Food Culture, Heritage and Identity
