Pre-Insurance Inspection - Fire Insurance - Fee Schedule by various Insurance

Dear Friends,

In today's scenario Pre-Insurance Inspections by most of the insurers under Property Insurance are not arranged however in some of the cases (prudent) insurer chooses to opt for such inspections, at the time of de-tariffing there were circulars by (at least) all PSUs towards their format & fees for such inspections.

Members are requested to please circulate such circulars & formats on board for benefit of members.

I charge Rs. 4500/- per hour, to the proposal & not to the company since after submission of report the denies the amount.
I always collect the fee before handling the report.

The insurer's do not pay you.

Ask a request letter for valuation from firms. Then give them a quote.

Then do the job and get payment from them.

I had bitter experience dealing with insurers and banks.

So I do not give valuation for them.

Dear all

Perhaps there is no such fee schedule. It is advisable to discuss about the fee with the insurers before going ahead. The fee may vary depending upon the time, distance and the technicalities involved.
