Re: My Membership is Inactive for the reason best known to our CC Members

Dear Sir,

This is to inform your good selves with a heavy heart that "My Membership is  Inactive" suddenly without any prior notice/information.   In the portal it has stated that "contact IIISLA Admin".  I came to  know about my Membership being Inactive when I  accessed the Portal to make the payment of My Membership Fees for the year 2025-26.  

I am attaching herewith my IRDAI License which is valid upto 02-05-2025.  I did have Star Health Insurance Agent License and NIA Agent License prior to taking up IRDAI License and I have not done even a single Agency business with both the companies as I am not interested in canvassing and doing the agency business.  I just wrote the agency exam for knowledge purposes only.  Thereafter I did the highest qualification in insurance i.e., FIII (Fellow of Insurance Institute of India)  2019 and parallely I have taken up Surveyor Examination in 2019.  I become IRDAI Licensed Surveyor in the year 2019 (02-05-2019)  and my License First Renewal in the year 2022.  My IRDAI License expires on 02-05-2025 and while going for  Second License Renewal, IRDAI noticed that I had Star Health Insurance Agency License and NIA Agency License in my name, which is not permitted and hence they asked me to SURRENDER/CANCEL  the Agency Licenses, in case I wished to continue as surveyor and accordingly I SURRENDERED/CANCELLED my Agency Licenses with both the companies and thereafter the IRDAI renewed my Surveyor License in the month of June 2025.  Copy of License is attached.

I have written to the IIISLA Admin Office  on 05-08-2025 onwards as indicated in the Portal when I found to my surprise my IIISLA Membership is INACTIVE.  IIISLA Admin informed me orally that they have been asked to do so and they asked me to contact Mr. Santosh Rajanna, IIISLASecretary.  

I contacted Mr. Rishi Bhasin, IIISLA President on  07-08-2025 and he told me that it may be a ''technical glitch" and since I am in the South Zone he advised me to contact Mr. Santosh Rajanna, IIISLA Secretary.  I called Mr. Santosh Rajanna on the same day and sent the Whatsapp message also regarding the same sharing the screenshot of the portal issue.

Till date neither the technical glitch is resolved, nor any reply from the concerned either IIISLA Admin or CC Members.  I really wonder how come the technical glitch is affecting only those who raised their voices in the IIISLA election.  Is it not a cheap practice to corner the members and practice vendetta politics?  Elections should be conducted in a democratic and fair manner and everyone doubted the  human interference/technical glitch in the very first election conducted by NSDL/CSDL.  After this, the Election was rescheduled in March 2025 and everyone including me accepted and appreciated Rishi Bhasin's Team thumping victory.

Coming back to my issue, whether anyone from my family intimated IIISLA that I have died/passed away or insane or convicted so that I should not hold the IIISLA Membership?  Whether my friends in IIISLA intimated about my demise to make my Membership Inactive?  On what grounds my Membership is made inactive?  Whether my IRDAI License is cancelled by the Regulator, IRDAI?  Whether GIC intervened and cancelled my Membership?   How come without intimating me, my Membership can be made Inactive without citing any reason whatsoever?  Have IIISLA followed any protocol? Is it a threat to the Members?

For giving IIISLA Membership there are certain guidelines/procedures laid down in Articles of Association of IIISLA.  In the same way to  make any member inactive, the  guidelines as laid down  in our AOA (Articles of Association) of IIISLA  have to be followed.  Kindly do share me on what grounds my IIISLA Membership is made Inactive.

Is it a mistake on my part to bring to your notice about the IRDAI  December 2020 Notification regarding the removal of categories/levels like Licentiate, Associate and Fellow and asking you why IIISLA is not respecting and following the IRDAI Notification?  

Even though it is violating the IRDAI December 2020 Notification of removal of levels,   Rishi Basin Team came with an Electoral promise of the promotion from one level to next level  from the existing 8 years to 5 years, is it wrong on part to remind them?

If I am no longer a Member of IIISLA, why the Notice for AGM was sent to me.  Why is the Notice of Bangalore Unit Meeting on 09/08/2025 sent to me when my Membership is not active?  Why do I have to attend the Bangalore Unit Meeting on 09/08/2025?

To which direction our prestigious institution is heading?  Hitlarean attitude should be stopped immediately.

I expect a speedy resolution and redressal.
