Dear all,

It is a great news that IRDAI has decided to relase the notification on modified licence. I am pleased to information you that Mr. R.K. Elango (Chief Mentor - IIISLA), our central council members Mr. Tanmoy Sarkar, Mr. Love Patel, Mr. A.R. Ramesh and Mr. B. Shivaprakash (National Vice President - IIISLA), met the IRDAI official on 07/04/2015 at Hyderabad. They discussed all the burning issues as a result notification on modified licence (Removal of categorization and restriction of Department) is released and expected at any time.

I am also inform you that our national secretary is going to take this credit even though his efforts to our fraternity is 'Big Zero'.

Licentiate, Associate and Fellow as defined in the regulations. Every surveyor and loss assessor whether a company or firm or individual, shall be eligible to carry on the work as surveyor as per the level of membership allotted by IIISLA and specified in the license issued by the Authority.   As of now the Authority is issuing licenses displaying membership no. in the licenses. The removal of A, B, C from the eligible departments from the licensing format is under process and shall be implemented shortly on the online BAP portal. A separate Notice in this regard shall be issued. Till such time the surveyors may show/submit their IIISLA membership certificate alongwith license to the underwriters/insurers for the purposes of empanelment and survey work allocation.   As a step towards implementation of categorization based on IIISLA membership, the Authority has incorporated IIISLA membership no.  in the list of surveyors and loss assessors(Individual and Corporate) regularly published on the website of IRDAI. The membership data of IIISLA utilised for the exercise is the data as on 31.03.2015. The eligible departments are ticked with '##' sign.   All surveyors are requested to check their membership no. and other details and in case of any discrepancy may write to Joint Director, Surveyors Department, Delhi Regional Office of IRDAI, Jeevan Tara Bldg, first floor, gate no. 3, Parliament Street, New Delhi – 110001. We are all happy that IRDA finally woke-up on a long pending legitimate demand but with a twist of  "Licentiate".  As of now there is no provision of Licentiate in AOA, then how it be implemented.    Present issue is " In house survey limit " ( increasing it to 50,000.00 for motor & 100,000.00 for non motor) , IRDA is trying to shift attention of surveyor from this issue. Kindly don't get carried away  by this concentrate on Exposure Draft and give your mind on this.

Sincere effort, positive approach, dedication on the job, good motive for the cause of all's welfare stands always praiseworthy.

There are more issues that can be undertaken for betterment of common surveyors should be taken on top priority. Our CC should make more effort on the issues that are directly proportion to survival of surveyors.

Almost 60% claims comes below the Rs 50000/ our most of the common surveyors survive within this limit so it should be taken as top priority. Our people should send their suggestion to the suggested mail id's of IRDAI. CENTRAL COUNCIL should have to be more persuasive on this survival issue too.

With regards and thanks to all those who made efforts and initiated talks on the issue. also to thanks to our other senior members who wrote IRDA on the issue.

Sincere effort, positive approach, dedication on the job, good motive for the cause of all's welfare stands always praiseworthy.

There are more issues that can be undertaken for betterment of common surveyors should be taken on top priority. Our CC should make more effort on the issues that are directly proportion to survival of surveyors.

Almost 60% claims comes below the Rs 50000/ our most of the common surveyors survive within this limit so it should be taken as top priority. Our people should send their suggestion to the suggested mail id's of IRDAI. CENTRAL COUNCIL should have to be more persuasive on this survival issue too.

With regards and thanks to all those who made efforts and initiated talks on the issue. also to thanks to our other senior members who wrote IRDA on the issue.
