Membership Register of IIISLA

Dear All,

It has been our endeavour to have an authenticated true 'Membership Register' of IIISLA members.  The data has undergone many changes from the day the initial enrollment was done by IRDA, with change of places from Hyderabad to Mumbai, Mumbai to Ahmedabad, and Ahmedabad to Mumbai.  The office bearers who did some good work on this also have not shared the information with the present administration, resulting in injustice to certain persons.

01. There are instances where the initial payment was made in 2006, but membership was not allotted, as claimed by some of our colleagues.  In absence of receipts for such payments, we are unable to correlate and update the record.

02. Also, certain payments made to Ahmedabad office are not reflected during the years 09-10, 10-11 and 11-12.

03. There is some ambiguity about the validity of initial payment, which was extended to the next year, but the commencing year is in confusion.

04. There was huge amount of about Rs.65 lakhs shown in suspense account at that time, on account of membership reeipts.

05. However, the then Treasurer and Admin Office did some good reconciliation work and brought it down to Rs.16 lakhs, and in a council meeting held at Hyderabad, Mr. RP Gupta was appreciated for such effort.

But the sad part is that who ever has done some good work, did not share the same with the general members and held it close to their hearts.  Such people failed to realise that any work done for and with the resources of IIISLA becomes the property of IIISLA, and not of their own.

Now, my request to the members (non members also) across the country is to provide me the reconciled / true data of members of IIISLA.  I am looking for the following;

01. List of members as enrolled by IRDA initially and handed over to IIISLA management.

02. Reconciled statement of about 4400 members published at that time by the then Treasurer Mr. RP Gupta.

03. Individual reconciled statement data prepared and communicated by the then Admin office, Ahmedabad.

Any individual across the country, may please provide me the above data, on my personal id or on group mails.

On the possible question of my locus standi on the subject matter, I am to inform that since last week of March 2013, I am attending to the membership issues, at the request of the present council, and overseeing the functioning of IIISLA, HO at Hyderabad.

Mr DCS Raju,
You are doing the wonderful work. Surveyors have much faith on you and
hope you will sort the things in right way. There are some problems
and obstacles as things are already in mess in IIISLA working
particularly to membership and you have do to make the things
straight . Please keep it up.

Dear Mr Raju, Thanks for your appreciation for our membership reconciliation work done during 2010-11. Let me make it clear that we did not keep it close to our hearts only as the same was published on IIISLA web site as also accepted by you in your trailing mail. Publication on website is sharing with members. Rather sharing with members was part of the whole project as we were to invite corrections/ omissions from the members. I have already told you that this work was handled at Ahmedabad, of course under my guidance as Treasurer. The then office incharge had also put it on website & with that there was no urgency for me to have a separate copy with me- more so when further work was also supposed to be done there itself. As I had suggested in my earlier mails also, the present Council is to show statesmanship, go in for National reconciliation and move ahead by resolving the past issues. Dear Sir,

I do not understand your logic.  The present council (of course I do not have any objection if they show such quality as mentioned by you) should show statesmanship and resort to National Reconciliation (!?) - I do not know what exactly you mean by this -, though the then office bearers (which includes your goodself), and an employee (engaged by the then President) took the council to ransom and humiliated the then council members (for no fault on their part) by filing a case against them?  And for what?  The cheque signed by you two (yourself and Mr. Tada) got dishonoured.  And how the other council members are parties to such a contingency?  Come on, Gupta ji, we heard enough of this nonsensical episode.  Do not make it a National issue, for God's sake.

We have better things to do, and I know if you have the will you can contribute on our intended path of progress.  Lest, leave the matter, the almighty will show us some path to get over the situation, than to compromise on values and ethics of behaviour.
