WHAT IS THE MEANING OF GROSS ASSESSED AMOUNT. ON WHAT VALUE THE SURVEY FEE WILL BE APPLICABLE UNDER ENGG. FIRE CLAIMS. SHARE VIEWS.

Dear Sir,
The survey fees are computed on the Assessed amount of loss i.e. actual loos (without applying betterment allowance & depreciation & under insurance & excess deductions ) Less salvage  value.

In practice the survey fees is charged on Gross assessed loss which means the value of affected stock prior to application of any deductible/salvage/under insurance etc.
