Dear Mr. Anoop Kumar,
Please note that the list posted do not have the trainee surveyors’ names, but shows only those of the trainer surveyors, and the trainees’ names also should be indicated, so that we will be able to identify the trainees, who are unlicensed staff of Insurance Companies.
As to my knowledge, most of the trainers are from the Private Insurance Panels, and some of them (from the Motor Discipline) representatives of contract survey firms, and it is my apprehension that some of them may be those signing reports, for paltry sums, for favours received, by way of training the staff of the companies
Kind Regards
Tim

Subject: List of Trainee Surveyors
Dear Friends,
IRDA has released a list of trainee surveyors along with the details of trainer surveyors too. Some of the members called me to inform me that some of the trainee surveyors are full time employees of insurance companies and they are getting the false training certificates issued by our own fellow surveyors. We should put a stop to this practice.
I request all the members to go thro the list and name the trainee and trainer surveyors who are indulging in such malpractices so that we can forward the names of such candidates to IIISLA for onward transmission to IRDA.
IRDA is viewing the violations in code of conduct by the surveyors very seriously. Let us help IRDA eliminate atleast few black sheep from amongst us so that we can save our profession, our livelihood and future.
With best regards,
S. Anoop Kumar.
I missed out the details initially, as I was in a hurry
I have seen the list with all the details, which contains many intriguing
facts
What does it mean, that One surveyor trains as many as seven persons, while
another has trainees spread over three states, such as Gujarat, Rajasthan
and Delhi.
In most of the cases only the name of the state is mentioned, but not the
districts or areas where the trainer is practicing, and it is again
difficult to locate places or persons, to know, if they are genuine trainees
or trainers
As to my knowledge, the trainee should be under the direct supervision of
the trainer, and I am doubtful, if any one can train persons from different
states or locations
Either IRDA ignored this or the trainers/trainees furnished false
information to IRDA, as to their location, so as to confuse them, amounting
to concealing material facts, but no questions asked.
In Kerala, one trainer is an agent of a contract survey firm, who has at
least 12 to 15 Employees doing surveys for him, including contract works,
and while most of the trainees as to my understanding are the assistants of
the trainers doing survey assignment independently, without licence or
categorisation.
I have seen even one company has listed a trainee, where the person in
charge himself is not licensed or categorised, and the only licensed
surveyor of this company is located in Goa, and how can he train somebody in
Cochin sitting in Goa
One trainee is Cochin is an employee of Reliance General Insurance and his
trainer has abundant works from the same company.
And the details speak in volumes and some where down the lane, there is dead
rat rotten and stinking
Now, what IRDA or IIISLA can do in this is remained to be seen
Kind Regards
Tim
