Subject:- CORRUPTION AND FRAUD BY THE PRIVATE GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANIES WITH THE CONSIPRACY OF CHAIRMAN, IRDA, HYDERABAD
Sir,
With reference to my previous mail on dated 13.10.2012, but till today your office not take any action that I want to draw your kind attention about the corruption and fraud in the Reliance Gen Insurance Co Ltd, Regional Office, Chandigarh that due to this fraud there is a theft in the service tax in thousands crores, the detail of which is as below:-
That as per Insurance Act Section 64 UM that the survey of any accidental vehicle will be conducted only by a licensed IRDA approved surveyor if the loss will exceed from Rs 20,000/- but the Reliance Gen Insurance Co Ltd, Regional Office, Chandigarh not follow this insurance act and will conduct the survey of the accidental vehicles by their non-technical employees even if the loss will exceed from Rs. 20,000/-. In this way the insurance company saved the services tax in thousands crores from the last about ten years. If a licensed surveyor will conduct the survey then that surveyor will charge the service tax from the insurance company and will deposit the same in the service tax department. This illegal practice was already informed several times in the IRDA Office but the IRDA do nothing due to their vested interest. If the matter will complaint for a specific claim then this insurance company will sign and stamped the survey report from their own employee.
That this is a very big scandal which is conducted by Sh. Rajesh Sharma (Regional Manager) in Chandigarh Region of Reliance Gen Insurance co Ltd. I request you to please handover the case to the CBI immediately. Some more private insurance companies are also involved in this scandal and the insurance regulator is involved in this scam. Please take the under taking from the IRDA regarding this scam because almost all the private insurance companies are adopting the illegal practice at each and every stage and due to which there is a great loss of revenue to the Govt of India in the shape of service tax.
