The much awaited survey fee .... is ridiculous and not at all acceptable.

This was not expected from GIPSA. 

Is is the approval of IIISLA CC. If so, we are so sorry to say that we are VERY VERY UNHAPPY and miserable failure of convincing the concerned for the eligible survey fee.

Now the time for the surveyors to think on this and come forward to strategies the issue.

Dear brothers,

Much awaited survey fee Schedule is out. Engg & Misc department is mute as no increase occured. Motor department got some benefit from basic 750 to 850 but each one expecting it to 1000. But good news is revision occured  and also in conveyance and DHA. So each case locally with fetch you minimum 150 up. So if you doing say 40 cases you are up by 6000 per month minimum. So good news for all and we should thanks the efforts made by CC members and other senior surveyors. Increase occured despite rate of insurance on OD are same or decreasing. Now survey fee revision should be continuous process and should be done after two years or linking it with price index.

Dear Brother,

There is so many discrepancies in allocation of survey that one is enjoying 200 plus and other getting as low as you mentioned . Many surveyor brother proposed idea of capping for each surveyor so that excess survey will be distributed among surveyors with less survey in their kitty. Hope CC will take care of surveyor brothers , fighting for survival in this profession.

Every body was expecting 25 to 50 % increase but got 10-15 % that only after 4 years , which is causing resentment.  As maximum work in motor, fee revision from 750 to 1000 and 1100 to 1500 would be respectable thing but not got . Any  way whatever happened should be accepted and next fee revision should be done after year or two to save the profession.

This is the reason no professionals are coming forward to join Surveyors profession when in employment employees get revision every year. After 4 years it is negligible and even the last increase of 2013 was not sufficient to meet all cost & burden in our livelihood. 

I do not understand that when it is clearly specified in  IIISLA AOA for functions & duties of CC  specifying to fix scale of fees then why IIISLA is not doing this job seeking the views of all members and consolidating fees, then it may be sent to IRDAI for approval who will decide and inform to all insurance companies.

Members views are solicited on revision of surveyors fees. this is my personal opinion.

I had just seen the revised Survey fees, all slabs are almost with same fees except higher slab above 5 Cr, remaining all slabs not even 5 % increase in Survey fees,  very much disappointing.

The amount of Time and efforts we spend on each report and the survey fees paid to us abysmally low,  Surveyor community as a whole should voice their concern and represent unitedly to salvage pride... unless we fight for justified increase in Survey fee, we will not be in a position to derive Respect and Pride in Insurance Industry..

 

Hope IIISLA will act proactively and try to Represent GIAI Strongly about the concern of the Surveyor community and fight for Eligible and Justified increase in Survey fees....

Surprisingly I did not find the revised survey fee schedule placed on IIISLA official website and none of the CC members claiming credit for the achievement.

But the covering letter of GIPSA is a clear give away. There is no mention of IIISLA representation or participation in the discussion or negotiation of survey fees finalised.

It is the time to wake up and show our resentment on Survey Fee Schedule which was issued after 3 years and that too without increase and as per practice no revision expected in next 3_ 4 years. IIISLA is not to harass the members but to take up such matters. IIISLA is only platform which can and should take up the matter without further delay. Please share to impress upon IIISLA to do something for its members. It is now or never. Please donot keep quite. Let us unite, frame memorandum and represent in strongest way before GIPSA to revise the schedule.

  Please go through the attachment, you will certainly agree that the IIISLA CC was sleeping and should be responsible for such bitter and unethical act of GIPSA. The IIISLA president is still running behind Benevolent Fund and suppressing all his wrong doings. Has he guts to answer the following queries of the common surveyors.

1. What is the action taken by IIISLA regarding fees revision since the CC took the charge?

2. What is the action taken to prevent 64 UM violation?

3. What is the action taken to obtain the survey fee details of the surveyor?

4. What is the action taken to eliminate surveyors working in Insurance Companies with Survey Licence?

5. What action did IIISLA taken up regarding Service Tax with Finance Ministry?

6. What all initiative has IIISLA taken for the welfare of its members?

If the CC or IIISLA President is not able to answer the questions through this mail. It will be a clear evidence of the foul play / wrong doings of IIISLA CC. If you people cannot guide IIISLA then quit and get lost, you have no right to continue as CC. You have enjoyed air travel, hospitality stays and lots of benefits in the name of IIISLA CC using the hard earned money of its members with no proper accounting and still continuing to enjoy without fulfilling the basic needs of common surveyors. STOP IT and QUIT.

Dear Surveyors,

  The increase of survey fees is not to be called as an increase or revision, this is an amount equal to the tip that the CC members pay during their travel and stay at various locations. So do not consider this as an survey fee revision. It is called tip revision. I would request all the surveyors in India not to accept the same and fight for the injustice done to the fraternity. The survey fee revision is the hard work of CC. The tip revision is a clear evidence of the CC's inability and unprofessional approach of dictators in the CC. Every member has to realize, that the present CC can do only a tip revision and not fees revision. Not even a single comment or mail has come from IIISLA president or any CC Member about this betrayal act of GIPSA.

  Do not accept TIP REVISION.

Look at the way salaries,perks and benefits to staff of GIC employees are extended.Look at the way we surveyors are given ALMS.Shame on CC members,IISLA.You can not call it ACHIEVEMENT by any stretch of imagination.

The fee and expences must be linked to price index once and for all thereby there by eliminating the need to approach GIPSA/IRDA everytime.
