Dear all,
Little understanding about laser printer
What is better 600 dpi or 1200 dpi?
In specifications for
laser printers and multifunction printers, print resolution is listed as
horizontal dpi by
vertical dpi. Some common examples are 600 x 600 dpi or 1200 x1200 dpi. Higher dpi numbers
correspond to smaller dots when printing an image.
What is a 600 DPI?
In printing, DPI (dots per inch) refers to the output
resolution of a printer or image setter, and PPI (pixels per inch) refers to
the input resolution of a photograph or image. DPI refers to the physical dot density of an image when it
is reproduced as a real physical entity, for example printed onto paper.
What does ProRes 1200 mean?
ProRes is the Marketing name for the native 1200 dpi print mode engines. FastRes is
the Marketing name for the 600 dpi multiple-bits-per-pixel print mode. FastRes
achieves image quality similar or better to ProRes, but uses 600 dpi imaging
What is the best dpi for printing photos?
Higher DPI means higher resolution. Resolution
is not “size”, but it's often confused with it because higher resolution images
are often bigger, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case. Print: 300dpi is standard, sometimes 150 is acceptable but never
lower, you may go higher for some situations.
What is better ppi or dpi?
Though the terms DPI (dots per inch) and PPI (pixels per inch) both describe the
resolution (or clarity) of an image, they're not the same thing. ... DPI, on the other hand, is a printing term referring to the
number of physical dots of ink in a printed document.
