Recommendation of a Surveyor by a Brocker

Dear friends,

Thank you all for your opinions on the issue. In my opinion Brockers should not recommend a surveyor because the surveyor may be inclined to favor the insured to whom the Brocker is associated. IIISLA can send a representation to the IRDA to inform all the Brockers and Insurance Companies through a circular or notification to the effect that Brockers should not recommend any surveyor to the Insurance Company at any point of time.
