North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC)
The CIE has opened a dialogue with the NECC recently, and we are exploring synergies. The NECC are celebrating their 200th anniversary in 2015, and are currently looking for anyone with any memories of events or courses at the NECC. Eg one elderly lady remembered attending typing courses on a Saturday morning. I can put anyone in touch with the relevant person at NECC should they wish to contribute any such memories.

I am sorry to have to tell you that Fred Traice, who was President in 1997/8 passed away last Friday 11th October at the age of 73. He was responsible for Research Programme Coordination at British Steel Grangetown Labs prior to his retirement. There will be an obituary on the website in due course.
