Rotary Club of Teesside West Spring Charity Lecture - Vulcan to the Falklands and Return to the Sky
Wed 1st May 2013 - Princess Alexandra Auditorium Yarm School
A spring evening Yarm School's magnificent riverside auditorium with
Pilot and Captain of Black Buck 1 Martin Withers DFC who will be reliving the epic flying mission culminating on this day in 1982, telling you what it is like to fly Vulcan 607 into action and also to fly XH558 now it has returned to the sky.
With an Introduction by Dr Robert Pleming, CEO Vulcan to The Sky Trust who will be speaking about the restoration team's amazing achievement, the many challenges they faced in returning XH558 to the Sky, and its future inspirational role.
18.30hrs Doors open for coffee/tea/soft drinks, licensed cash bar, Vulcan to the Sky stall / special raffle.
19:00hrs - Introductory Talk 20:00hrs -Buffet & Bar 20.30 to– 22.15hrs - Second talk, Q&A session etc.
