Windows Installation Instructions/Experience?

Anyone have luck getting this to run on windows?

Any instructions out there?

got it to run by installing ubuntu from the windows app store and then installing ant from this  How to Install Apache Ant on Ubuntu 18.04 | 16.04 - Website for Students

then running the install from step 2. on  GitHub - pfrommerd/insteon-terminal: A simple tool to allow modification of an insteonplm or a insteonhub

then when you get to the step 4 you need to edit the "def" section for the type of connectToXXXX you're using

then remove the # from the corresponding line below that 

and then add a defintion for the "modem"  in the section below that - no matter what your connectTo is just use modem2413U

from there - I am able to connect, but I am not getting too far either

Sorry, this code was developed entirely on ubuntu. I wouldn't know how to work on Windows.

not an answer but for others who don’t want to set up on Windows, I just ran Ubuntu on Windows 11 VM 😊 but the following answer about timeouts is what you want!

I was able to successfully connect thru Windows 11 and ubuntu app. Seems to mostly work.
