Bernd,
Works the same way and the USB PLM, it is just RF only USB dongle, windows see it as a serial port (I use Houselinc software but it is really slow). I tried to use it for OpenHab but it is really slow to change the state of switches. I can read the database using your insteon-terminal software but I can not nuke the DB or make changes. In my house I have a Hub 2012 connected to OpenHab and a USB PLM connected to a Vera Edge. I wanted to asked you about you Openhab binding. My Hub with OpenHab works pretty well except that I get a bunch of false triggers from Insteon I/O link connected to my garage doors. On vera i used to have scripts to turn on the lights at night when i opened the garage doors (my biggest complain with Vera was that it would be hit or miss to detect the trigger from the I/O link. With OpenHab it is the opposite I get Open/Close triggers every few hours (OPEN for few seconds then CLOSE). I don't know if having the HUB and the PLM at the same time is the issue, i'm trying to fix the kinks with OpenHab to remove the insteon from my Vera and leave it as Zwave controller only.
BTW - great job on the bidding and insteon-terminal
regards
Harry
