Save DB

Hi,

Is there any way to add saveDB() nad restoreDB() to Keypads, Switches and Dimmers? It should would be nice to have it. Unfortunately I'm not a Python programmer so I am having trouble trying to figure out how to add that functionality myself.

Adding this to non-modem devices is somewhat non-trivial with the current codebase. Currently there exists an experimental pure-python version of insteon-terminal with some of this functionality, but that is missing a lot of device-specific support for thermostats, sprinklers, etc. from the current insteon-terminal. I haven't gotten the chance to finish developing that, but hope to at some point.

Is that experimental version available for testing? I don't have any Insteon thermostats or sprinklers.

I have: Wall Switches, Wall Dimmers, Wall Keypads, Fanlincs, micro dimmers and switches, 1 ancient plug-in dimmer, 2 ancient plug-in appliance (switch) modules and one outdoor module.
