A couple of questions from the newbie

Hey everyone. Great to meet you. Just found this group today. I don't
live in SF, so before I make the drive from Sacramento, I have a
couple of questions. I started using Instagr.am just a short while
ago. (dobrien917 on instagr.am and twitter) I just use my iphone, no
extra lenses or anything, but would love to learn to experiment.
Where's a great place for me to learn to use the tool better?

I love the concept of the Instawalks and would love to organize these
for Sac after I get some skills. :) Is the event tomorrow for pros or
are any newbies attending?

These events are definitely for everyone! I can't make this one, but I know if you show up you will meet some great people that are happy to share their knowledge of iPhone photography with you.

I wish I could participate, but its my niece's wedding weekend. Photowalks are a blast for all levels. And I suspect your skills are better than you realize. You will definitely enjoy yourself and make some great friends who share your interest.

Hey dobrien917, I hope you can make it tomorrow. It's open to anyone, but I have a good feeling tomorrow's event will have even more 1st time photowalkers than usual.

The best way to learn is to just take photos, watch how are other folks are using their devices, and watch the results. Afterwards, we'll be meeting at a bar in North Beach and probably talking about iPhone photography.

I'm going to try to say hi to as many people as I can, but if for some reason I miss you, please come up and say hi and let me know if you have any additional questions. See you tomorrow.

Hey guys!

I'm open to suggestions! I was thinking something like Golden Boy Pizza in North Beach or Li Po Lounge in Chinatown (they have booths in the back that might be able to accommodate a big group). Doc also recommended Vesuvio.
