After installing Telly server I attempted a channel scan using
hdhomerun device #1 which is connected to an ATSC antenna. I could
see that the scan slowed when the channel count reached an RF channel
known to be ATSC but it did not identify any programs. I verified
that the tuner is working and receiving my local channels using
TSReader software. HDHomerun is an older model but is running the
latest firmware.

System: WindowsXP professional.

Hello Stephen,

Could you zip and send a copy of the 'log folder' on TellyServer? To find the log folder, go to 'setup' page and clicked the 'Log Folder' button on TellyServer. We will take a look to find out what is wrong with TellyServer.

Thanks,

Hello Steve,

If you are using the latest beta version of HDHomeRun Firmware, please try with a stable version (20111025 I believe).

From the log file, TellyServer was  able to tune to a channel, check signal status, etc. Everything looks fine except it failed to receive PMT data. I suspect HDHomeRun tuner may be configured to inject/filter some data.

Try the following to see if it works:

- open "HDHomeRun Setup"
- go to Application tab, make sure Main Application is set to 'Other:ATSC/QAM'
- go to 'Advanced' tab, make sure Virtual Channel Table mode is set to 'Auto'
- on the same 'Advanced' tab, click 'Repair' to repair windows component.
- shutdown TellyServer, restart TellyServer and run a scan.

I will also try to reproduce the problem here.

Thanks,

Hi,

Zipped log files attached.  If there is anything else I can try please
let me know.  Older SW version perhaps?

Works fine now. See info below:

Was set to 'Other: Registry' changed to 'Other:ATSC/QAM'

Verified.

Channel scan completed...found 70 channels successfully...sent tuner
data to Telly.

Thanks for your help!

Hi there,

I've hot HDHomeRun dual (20120128 Firmware (it is not beta!) and tried
to install tellyserver 1.3, however I've got the same problem "No
channels found".
Other applications work just fine.
More on that - I've got HDHomeRun connected to DVB-T Antenna, but
somehow I have only option on tellyserver to scan using Cable (with
Antenna greyed-out).
Even more weird - when I set it up as "Other:ATSC/QAM" tellyserver
says "No tuners detected".

Any idea what might be wrong ?

Hello Landi,

Unfortunately TellyServer currently only works with ATSC, not DVB-T or -C yet.
That's why you saw the antenna option greyed out and no tuner being detected.

Thanks,

Hi

Thanks for your great work!

I have a HDHomerun connected to DVB-C cable. Do you know if / when Telly will support this?

Are there any other tuners that will work with Telly on DVB-c?

Kind regards, Mark Andreas Christensen
