I am getting the attached error when I try to run my training pipeline. I did confirm the Service Account has Editor permissions for my GA4 property and BigQuery Data Viewer permissions in BigQuery for the dataset. Any other ideas?

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you're getting an "Access Denied" error when running the Training Pipeline from Instant BQML.

This error usually occurs for one of two reasons:

1. Incorrect Service Account Permissions: The Service Account running your CRMint application (shure-bqml@) might not have the necessary permissions to access the BigQuery dataset in your GA4 BigQuery export project.
2. Missing GA4 Export: The GA4 export might not exist in the specified Google Cloud project and dataset.

To help us troubleshoot this, could you please confirm the following:

• Service Account Permissions: Double-check that you've correctly granted the service account (shure-bqml@) "BigQuery Data Viewer" permissions on the BigQuery dataset within your shure-bigquery project.
• GA4 Export Existence:
  • In your shure-bigquery project, confirm that you have a dataset named analytics_269983922 containing a table that starts with events_.
  • If you recently enabled the Daily export, it can take up to 24 hours for the data to appear in BigQuery.
• IBQML_CONFIG: Please share your IBQML_CONFIG so we can verify its accuracy. You can find this variable in your Training or Prediction Pipeline; it looks like a long URL.

Once we have this information, we can help you resolve the issue.

Hi Laura,

Thanks for sharing. 

The events_ table would be in your GA4 BQ export project (shure-bigquery). Not your shure-bqml project.

Also, when you apply the BigQuery Data Viewer permissions, this would happen in your shure-bigquery project and not your shure-bqml project.

Can you confirm these are both true?

Ok that was the issue. The permissions were applied to the wrong project. Seems to be working now. Will keep you posted if I encounter any other issues when running!
