I have the same issue as well. 

Replacing two CSS files on your local machine fixes the website:

https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/material-design-lite/1.3.0/material.min.js

https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/material-design-lite/1.3.0/material.cyan-light_blue.min.css

I also see that version 1.7 was released last April. Could Instant BQML team give more details on the future of this project?
