Hi Google Team,

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to check in regarding our prediction pipeline that has been running for 5 days. We're seeing that the audience groups in Google Analytics are still showing fewer than 10 users. Is this normal, or should we expect higher numbers by this point? Could you provide guidance on when we might see more substantial results?

Looking forward to your insights

Hi Alyssa,

Thanks for your email! It sounds like your audience lists aren't growing even after running your pipeline for 5 days. This usually means something isn't set up quite right.

There are a few places where things might be misconfigured:

  • Event name: Double check that you're using the correct name for the event you're tracking.
  • API key: Make sure you're using the right Measurement Protocol API key.

To figure out what's going on, you'll need to take a closer look at the data in BigQuery:

  • Check the measurement_protocol_formatted tables: See if these tables are being filled with data. This is where the information that gets sent via Measurement Protocol is organized.
  • Check the scored_user_logs table: This table shows you if any users have been assigned scores. If not, there might be an issue with an earlier step in the pipeline.
  • Confirm the user property in GA4: Make sure the user property that your audience definition is based on has been created correctly in GA4.

If you're still having trouble, please reach out to us at instant-b...@google.com with some screenshots of your setup so we can help you troubleshoot!

Thanks again for reaching out!

Hi Alyssa,

We took another look at your setup, and it seems like there might be an issue with the Google Analytics API secret you entered. Could you please double-check that it's correct?

Fixing the API secret should get those events flowing into your GA4 property.

You can update this directly in CRMint without uploading a new pipeline. Here's how:

  1. Temporarily disable your pipeline's schedule: This pauses the automatic runs.
  2. Click "Edit": This lets you change the pipeline settings.
  3. Update the API secret: Enter the correct value.
  4. Save your changes: Scroll to the bottom and click "Save."
  5. Run your pipeline manually: This tests if the changes worked.
  6. Re-enable the schedule: Turn the schedule back on to resume automatic runs.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
