Hey, all!  I would like to hear people's thoughts on what, if anything, will change with their instameets and their interactions with Instagram in general now that Facebook has purchased the company.  Your thoughts?

I think we'll see very few changes to the app itself. The square format will probably stick around, etc.

My hope is that the changes we will see will be improvements to the website... which is practically non-existant... With Facebook involved, hopefully we'll see Instagram.com improved with the ability to like/follow/comment all from the web.... So when users share images on Twitter, I can follow them without having to leave Twitter.

So I actually have high hopes for the merger. Would love to hear other folks thoughts.

Hey guys – long time no talk! Glad you brought this up Morgan. I agree with Doc in what he hopes happens. The fear I have heard from some friends (such as the people who are “leaving” instagram) is that the photo rights will change. For example, an images loaded to Facebook can be used in other areas of the site as well as off the site (think of a brand’s page widget that shows the profile pics of the people who like that page). My hunch is instagram will do all it takes to preserve their app and make improvement, while Facebook will make the online experience for photos better, and perhaps improve their own mobile app with instagram’s engineers J.
