I used to have my own Crystal 7 object that I created for my installs.

Now I'm trying to use the Crystal 8 object from Installshield. However, my
applications that use the Crystal Automation Server are running, but when
they try to preview reports, I get an error from crystal that says database
dll not found.

Has anyone successfully used the crystal 8 object? I'm wondering if its
missing a DLL, or if a dll is being placed in the wrong location, or do I
need to add an additional path to my application?

Thanks,

Scott,

What kind of data are you trying to access through your reporting? Most
likely they didn't include all of the needed files for data access.

I managed to get it working last night. I deleted the crystal object from
my project, re-added it, and included nearly all the "optional" components.
I think some of the optional components are not quite optional, since I had
originally included all the components that were normally required by my
report.

Thanks!
