IS5.5 Error 143 - Invalid GUID format 0

Hi, I scured the help and the knowledgebase and I cannot find a
reference to this error. A user in a develpment group that I support
has encountered this error using a IS Repackager(?) program that tracks
an application install process and then generates an IS project that
should build a media package for the application. However, a build
using the wizard results in the error listed in the subject line being
generated almost immediately.

Help! Anyone know what this error is, what causes it, and how to get rid
of it?

Create a Blank Project, and then copy the InstallationGUID line from the
blank project's .IPR file to the .IPR file created with Application
Repackager. Then try again.

this worked. Thank you for the suggestion. Might I ask, is this a bug
in the repackager or did he make some sort of Common User Error? If
this extra step is at all avoidable, I'd like to add it to the audit
notes to ensure users proceed correctly.

AFAIK this was a problem in an early version of IAR.

This was a bug that was to have been fixed in IAR 1.1.
