IS55 SP3 CAB engine error

I am suddenly unable to run the Media Build Wizard because I now always get
the following error, even with installations that have worked previously.
This error is not documented (as far as I can see), but someone earlier said
he got a similar error because of lack of memory resources. I have increased
the max swap file size to 2GB (with 500MB RAM), but it still fails. I also
re-installed IS5.5 and SP3.

The error dialogue (after starting the Media Build Wizard) says "Error: 110,
Category: CAB engine, Description: (none)".
