1) I used to be able to use function "ComponentGetData ( MEDIA ,
szComponent , COMPONENT_FIELD_DESTINATION , nvResult , svResult );" to
extract the setting for the Component's Destination. I have now upgraded to
InstallShield 6 (2000) and this does not work

The Destination setting has moved from the "Components" to "File Groups" but
the function ComponentGetData () using COMPONENT_FIELD_DESTINATION no longer
seems to be able to extract this information.

Is there a new function to get the Destination setting of a "File Group"?

What does COMPONENT_FIELD_INSTALLATION do? It links to the ComponentGetData
but does not have an explanation of its function.

2) I again used the ComponentSetData () to set the target for each
component which worked well as I did not need to know the target variable
names. ComponentSetTarget() Does a similar task but requires more hacking of
the code.

Is there a new function to set the Destination of a "File Group"?

3) Last but not least I have a userdefined dialog which calls
ComponentViewRefresh( nComponentView, 0 ). What is the replacement for this?

I have gone back to 5.53 as that works!

Many thanks

Mark

Currently there are no replacements for these functions.
I suggest that you post this in one of the IS6 groups, like
installshield.is6.general
installshield.is6.upgrade
installshield.is6.wishlist
