I downloaded iTunesSetup.exe (version 6.0.4.2 for Windows). At the
commandline I typed "iTunesSetup.exe /?" and the following dialogbox
appeared:
InstallSheild, Command line parameters:
/L language ID
/S Hide initialization dialog. For silent mode use: /S/v/qn
/V parameters to MsiExec.exe
/UA<url to InstMsiA.exe>
/UW<url to InstMsiW.exe>
/UM<url to msi package>
I tested the parameters. The /S parameter suppressed only the intro
dialog, but proceeded to the regular manual installation. All of the
other parameters are ignored; a regular manual installation occurrs.
Isn't there some kind of a protocol for InstallShield that includes the
parameters? Is it that easy for a vendor to ignore parameters?
Are there any companies (other than Microsoft) that take silent
installations seriously?
I would also try it with spaces between them:
/S /v /qn
These should work as silent installs are standard across companies.
However if they don't work you could repackage it using a repackaging tool
and use the tools built in silent command lines.
You could also call the company and ask them what is going on.

Here's what the thread says: In earlier versions of iTunes "silent"
installation still required one click. That seems to be the same now
in version 6. I said that a "regular manual installation occurs", but
I was wrong. If I had actually clicked "next" I would have observed
iTune's version of a silent installation. It's not really "silent" but
I still might be able to use it.
Strange, after all of that 6.0.4.2 wasn't really installed. 6.0.3.5
remained on my machine. Maybe I have to remove iTunes completely to get
the silent installation to work. Yet, all of my past upgrades have
been over top of existing installations, where... the music library and
preferences should stay in tact... so I can't imagine why a removal
would help.
I'm starting to wonder if this will help

How about Caphyon Advanced Installer?
SMS Installer is free if you have a SMS license, SMS doesn't need to be
installed though.
It is old technology but it works for most things.
I would recommend WISE but it costs money.
Repackaging isn't easy though you do need some experience and an
understanding of how applications work (under the covers).
