read only files and not enough disk space??

I'm having 2 problems...

first off I'm using IS 5.5 Pro

When installing from a CD onto W2K I'm getting an error stating that IS is
attempting to overwrite a read only file on the target drive named
_inst32i.ex_ - if I say don't overwrite, it then goes through the same thing
with several other setup files.

is there some setting I've set wrong when building the media for CD??

The other problem is that once I get through all these messages I'll get the
'not enough disk space on target' error, when there is plenty of space.

I've read that the second problem is most likely due to an invalid path
somewhere - but this problem only happens on a system that does not have the
BDE installed yet... (did I mention I'm installing the BDE?)

any thoughts on that one??
