Certain components are included uncompressed in the media and are placed in
their own subdirectories of the main installation files directory. These
components are defined as uncompressed through the media build wizard. This
gives a set of standard resources with files that we replace per
configuration left uncompressed within the installation directory.
We replace these files with the correct version every time we ship software.
Heres the problem, sometimes the installer chooses to install the
uncompressed files and sometimes it seems to install the original ones that
were present when the media as built. I think the original files are bundled
in one of the CAB files as well as left uncompressed. Sometime it installs
the uncompressed and sometimes the ones in the CAB. I can find no reason why
or determine any rules it might be obeying.
